Ideally, homes with a south facing roof are the best candidates for solar panels. If your roof sees a lot of shade during the day, then solar panels probably wont work for you.
Before you go whacking great big solar panels on your roof, you will want to be sure your home is structurally sound.
If you live in a top floor flat and have free hold, you can still install solar panels on your roof. On the other hand, if you live in a basement or mid-floor flat, solar panels wont be an option for you.
