I wanted to reach out to our PlusHeat family amidst the news of the Coronavirus to reassure you that we are fully prepared to continue to provide our crucial service across the nation throughout this difficult time. At a time when you will be relying on the facilities inside your home more than ever, we are well equipped to deal with your burst pipe, broken boiler and blocked toilet at short notice with minimal interruption to your day.
Our phone lines are open 24/7 to offer you advice and to book an engineer visit for all of your emergencies, so you can put your feet up and relax in the safety of your own home, knowing our engineer is on the way. Our engineers are surveyed when accepting work to ensure they are in good health and have been provided with safety equipment to minimise the risk of contamination. Our Sales, Customer Success and Property Maintenance teams are on hand to deal with your queries as usual and measures have been put in place to allow all staff to continue their work from home as and when this becomes necessary. Please do not be offended if we ask you about your own health, we are genuinely concerned for our vulnerable customers and have measures in place to ensure that we can assist everyone in the safest possible way.
As I am sure you will appreciate with the current health situation and recent recommendations from the government, we want to limit the amount of non-necessary contact for both customers and engineers. For this reason we will be placing annual boiler services on hold until May when we will reassess the situation. This will also have the added benefit of ensuring our emergency engineers are available for more urgent works and our vulnerable customers.
All other services will remain open, available and ready for your emergency. We would kindly ask that you keep in mind the governments advice around non-essential travel when booking in your engineer to ensure we are all playing our part in prioritising the safety of the nation and delaying any non-essential works until the government advise that such interaction is recommended.
